My client FRINJ Coffee wanted to created styled product photography to highlight the recent media coverage they’ve received in industry publications, namely Standart and Drift Magazine. Working with their marketing agency Christie&Co, we crafted a series of still life images to evoke the earthy, fresh, luxury vibe of their brand. Take a peek at the gallery below!

One Thread Collective - shot at The Four Seasons Biltmore Santa Barbara, CA
Lifestyle and Fashion Photography for One Thread Collective - Santa Barbara, CA
Jackie Gilbert, co-founder of One Thread Collective (https://www.onethreadcollective.com) approached me to shoot her line up of totes and handbags crafted by Colombian women artisans. After learning about the brand I immediately said yes!
One Thread Collective is a non-profit social enterprise dedicated to women’s empowerment and sustainability in communities with limited access to resources and services. They connect mindful consumers and rural artisans via a fair trade platform to provide a more meaningful shopping experience. All products are ethically sourced with full artisan recognition. All purchases help provide a fair salary to the women, ensure safe working conditions, and promote the ancestral tradition of weaving.
Colombian Artisans
My challenge was to photograph these incredible bags, called “Mochillas” by the Wayuu artisans, in multiple locations featuring multiple models and do it all in one day. Check out the gallery below!

Malibu Mylk is a flax milk brand founded by Brittany Fuisz based in Los Angeles, CA. They sell all kinds of delicious drinks including ready-to-drink coffee and matcha flavors in cans. I had the opportunity to shoot some of her new products at the end of 2021. Wanting to stay on trend with the vibrant, graphic style of social media imagery, we opted for solid, playful colors and fun geometric props as well as integrating ingredients. Product Photoshoot for Idyll Mercantile - Santa Barbara, CA
When Hannah Bangs, proprietor and Chief Plant Lady of Idyll Mercantile reached out to me for product photos I knew I was in for a fun collaboration. Idyll Mercantile is a wonderful plant and gift shop in the heart of Santa Barbara where shoppers are greeted by an impeccably curated little world of art, artisan goods + gifts, books and of course plants! To share this experience with those who can’t visit the brick & mortar shop, we needed beautiful product photos for Idyll’s e-commerce website.
Our on-location temporary “studio” at Idyll Mercantile.
We wanted a fun, modern, colorful and graphic visual style for the photos. “People buy based on emotion, it’s about how the product makes you feel.” says Hannah. The art direction relied heavily on bold colors, backdrop papers/fabrics, minimal props and product risers to achieve the “look” we wanted.
We used the shop as our studio space for easy access to the inventory… plants are not always easy to travel with! There were a lot of products to photograph so Hannah compiled a shot list and we put together a vision board of styling ideas and concepts so we could efficiently work through the day. After about 5 hours of shooting we were both happy to be done with the shot list!
Less than a week after the shoot, I delivered the retouched images, “the images are jaw dropping” enthused Hannah.
I’m stoked with how these playful photos turned out…. and the client was happy too, which is the most important thing! Scroll for a couple more images from the shoot!
Idyll Mercantile is located at 703 Chapala St. Santa Barbara, California 93101
